Our first airways, their organization, equipment, and finance

Grahame-White, Claude, 1879-, Harper, Harry · 1919 · London :bLane · 14 pictures

A 1919 London book by aviators Claude Grahame-White and Harry Harper, published by John Lane, arguing for commercial air routes, equipment, and financing in postwar Britain to an audience of investors, officials, and general readers. Halftone photographs show biplanes and multi-engined bombers converted to passenger use, on grass fields, in flight against cloud, and cockpit interiors framed by wing struts and rigging wires, useful for silhouettes of early airframes, wire-braced geometry, and aerial views of patchwork farmland.
