Our flag, its history and changes from 1607 to 1910
A short illustrated history of the American flag and its predecessors by Sarah E. Champion, published in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1910 for general and school readers. The numbered color plates show flags flat and full-bleed in flat red, cream, green and navy ink — the Dutch tricolor, the King's Colours, a seven-star Confederate design, a pine tree on red — giving designers ready-made blocks of color, stripe and star geometry, and simple emblem silhouettes.
