Our homes; how to beautify them. One hundred and fifty engravings
A household decorating and fancy-work manual by George A. Martin, published by Orange Judd in New York in 1888 with 150 engravings, aimed at American women furnishing and trimming their own rooms. The wood engravings show tasselled throws, embroidered squares, tufted cushions and draped windows with fretwork overmantels, rendered in dense crosshatch that yields ready-made pattern fills, fringe borders and corner motifs.
