Gazette des beaux-arts
Gazette des beaux-arts was a French art review published in Paris from 1859 for collectors, dealers, and connoisseurs, reporting on exhibitions, sales, and museum holdings. Its plates are etchings, engravings, and process reproductions of paintings, ornament panels, carved mirror frames, silver, and furniture, drawn with fine line shading against plain grounds, useful as ready-made rococo and grotesque ornament, cartouches, and object outlines.
