Pacific service magazine
An in-house monthly magazine issued by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco from 1912, written for employees and customers to report on the utility's construction work and operations in California. Halftone photographs show canals and irrigation ditches, river banks, lattice steel transmission towers under construction on cleared hillsides, and single towers standing against empty sky, useful as grainy industrial landscape stock and as sources for steel lattice silhouettes and pole-and-wire skylines.
