Pahlavi cartomalcy or card reading; a new and complete method adapted to the Pahlavi cards
A 1904 fortune-telling manual by Sarah Adelaide Moulton and Luther Vanhorn Moulton, issued by the Pahlavi Card Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, explaining how to read a proprietary divination deck. The plates reproduce the cards themselves: small line-cut buildings—colonnaded temples, a House of Correction—with lettered titles, corner index marks, cross-and-head emblems, and the whole design repeated upside down at the foot, some printed in red.
