An exhibition and sales catalogue issued in 1914 by the Macbeth Gallery in New York, listing American paintings and colonial portraits for collectors and dealers. The plates are halftone reproductions of oil landscapes and portraits, heavy in dark massed foliage, silhouetted bare trees, pale skies and river reflections, useful as tonal grounds, soft-edged textures and period portrait heads.
