Palencia;
A photographic survey of the art and architecture of Palencia and its cathedral, compiled by Matías Vielva with Pierre Paris and Royall Tyler and issued around 1900 by Hijos de J. Thomás in Barcelona for travellers and students of Spanish church art. The halftone plates record tomb niches, carved retable frames, vaulted ambulatories and grilles in raking daylight, useful as reference for Gothic and plateresque ornament, pilaster and canopy profiles, and deep grey tonal backgrounds.
