Parks & memorials of the State of Illinois
A state government report on Illinois parks, memorials and historic sites, compiled by C. M. Service for the Department of Public Works and Buildings and printed at Springfield in 1920 for legislators and the public. Its 26 halftone photographs show sandstone bluffs, canyons, wooded river valleys, a resort hotel from above and rock overhangs, giving coarse-grained grey landscape textures and captioned plate layouts.
