Patent soliciting and United States court practice, with remarks concerning specifications and claims, drawings, official examination, appeals, reissues, searches and reports, court practice, interferences, foreign patents, etc
A patent-practice handbook issued in 1883 by the Philadelphia law firm Howson & Howson for inventors, manufacturers and attorneys filing American and foreign applications. The plates are small, heavy-line relief cuts of heraldic shields — national and civic arms with bears, foxes, anvils, sheaves, crowns and star-ringed roundels — reducible to stark black-and-cream silhouettes for badges, monograms and stamp-like marks.
