Peeps at heraldry
An introductory guide to heraldry written by Phoebe Allen for young readers, published by A. and C. Black in London in 1912. The 32 plates are line-engraved escutcheons demonstrating tinctures by hatching and stippling, ordinaries such as fesses and pales, and charges including ermine spots and pierced roundels — ready-made vector shapes for badges, monograms, and pattern fills.
