Peeps at heraldry
An introductory guide to heraldry by Phoebe Allen, published by A. and C. Black in London in 1912 for young readers learning to read coats of arms. The line drawings are plain black-and-white shields showing tinctures as hatching and dots, with ordinaries, chevrons, crosses and charges such as fish, usable as clean vector shapes and ready-made hatch patterns.
