An 1859 antiquarian monograph by Edmond de Busscher on a fifteenth-century oil mural at Ghent and the city's early painters, illustrated with lithographed record drawings after wall paintings, issued for Belgian art historians and archaeologists. The plates give outline-drawn donor groups kneeling before the Virgin, heraldic shields, vault-severy scenes, counts and countesses under Gothic arcading, and an engraved portrait in a scrolled oval frame.
