Peruvian fabrics
An anthropological paper on pre-Columbian Peruvian weaving by textile technologist M. D. C. Crawford, issued in New York in 1916 by the trustees of the American Museum of Natural History for ethnologists and textile specialists. Line diagrams trace warp and weft paths in solid black against outlined threads, building dense woven grids, while halftone plates show excavated fragments with stepped diamond and fret patterning and knotted fringes.
