Peter Poodle,: toy maker to the king
A children's fantasy story written, illustrated and designed by the American poster artist and typographer Will Bradley, published by Dodd, Mead in New York in 1906 for young readers. The drawings are printed in orange and black with heavy contour lines, flat color blocks and stippled grey fills, showing toy-like soldiers, courtiers and horses in profile caricature, often arranged symmetrically inside architectural frames; useful for two-color separation work, silhouette figures and decorative borders.
