Franciscus Reinzer's Latin treatise of 1698, printed in Augsburg by Jeremias Wolff, sets twelve dissertations on weather, comets and astrology against political lessons for a learned Jesuit-educated readership, with engravings by Wolfgang Joseph Kadorizi, Andreas Matthäus Wolfgang and Johanna Sibilla Küsel. The emblems are round medallions with banner mottoes framing baroque interiors, draped canopies, busts and demonstration tables; useful for circular frames, motto banderoles and stage-like perspective rooms.
