Pictures in the Land of Temples; reproductions of a series of lithographs made in the Land of Temples, March-June 1913;
A portfolio of Joseph Pennell's lithographs of Greek and Sicilian temple sites, drawn on the spot between March and June 1913 and published by Lippincott in Philadelphia in 1915 for print collectors and travellers. The plates use crayon-grained tone and open white paper: Doric colonnades seen from below, hillside ruins, fallen drums and rubble foregrounds, useful for texture, silhouette and stone masses.
