A guide to the frescoes and monuments of the Campo Santo in Pisa, written by Giovanni Rosini with outline engravings after the murals by Giovanni Paolo Lasinio, published in Pisa by Niccolò Capurro in 1816 for antiquarians, travellers and artists studying early Italian painting. The plates reduce fourteenth-century wall paintings to pure contour line: bearded elders, hooded mourners, children and youths in long drapery, plus sheets of stacked heads in caps and veils, useful for drapery folds, medieval costume silhouettes and line-only figure groups.
