A guidebook to the paintings, sculpture and architecture of Bologna, first written by Carlo Cesare Malvasia and reissued in 1766 by the Longhi press for visitors touring the city's churches and palaces. The plates here are letterpress ornaments: a heavy black floral clump, symmetrical scrolled headpieces, a winged cherub head among acanthus, and a coat of arms with swags — small reusable stamps for headers, dividers and spot marks.
