Le pitture e sculture di Brescia che sono esposte al pubblico con un' appendice di alcune private gallerie
A 1760 guidebook to the paintings and sculptures on public view in Brescia, compiled by Giovanni Battista Carboni with Luigi Chizzola and printed there by Giambatista Bossini for travellers and local connoisseurs. The etched vignettes mix rococo foliate headpieces and allegorical tailpieces crowded with a reclining river god, putti, bulls, armillary sphere and scrolls, alongside small landscape views of walled towns with towers and arched gateways, drawn in fine open hatching that suits reuse as rules, spot ornaments and chapter heads.
