Plays and games for little folks
A children's book of singing games and playground rhymes written by Josephine Pollard and illustrated by Ferdinand Schuyler Mathews, published by McLoughlin Bros. in New York in 1890. Each page sets a framed scene of children dancing, skipping or clapping in ochre and brown against a ruled ground, flanked by ribbon scrolls with game titles and sprays of leaves and flowers usable as headers, borders and cartouches.
