Plume et pinceau : études de littérature & d'art
A collection of literary and art criticism by Jules Auguste Troubat, secretary to Sainte-Beuve, published in Paris by Isidore Liseux in 1878 for French readers of essays on writers and painters. The plates held here are not illustrations but the book's marbled papers: mottled olive-green and cream veining in irregular clouded patterns, usable as background fills, cover stock, or tiling texture.
