An archaeological survey of Pompeii by Sir William Gell and architect John P. Gandy, engraved by William Bernard Cooke, John Pye and others, issued by H.G. Bohn in London in 1852 for antiquarians and architects. Steel engravings give excavated streets, colonnaded courts, tombs and wall paintings in fine grey line, plus measured plans and ornament details usable as architectural motifs.
