Pompei : la ville, les moeurs, les arts
An archaeological survey of Pompeii's buildings, customs and decorative arts, written and illustrated by the French etcher Pierre Gusman and published in Paris by L.-Henry May in 1899 for art students and antiquarians. The 559 pen drawings record excavated streets, colonnaded courtyards, shrines, painted wall panels and inscriptions in dense hatching, giving designers ready line-art of Roman architectural detail and ornament.
