Popular lessons in astronomy, on a new plan;
Francis J. Grund's Popular lessons in astronomy, on a new plan, an 1833 school text from Boston publishers Carter, Hendee and co., written for students and general readers. Its hand-tinted engraved plates give numbered figures: concentric pale circles comparing planet sizes, a ruled globe with labelled tropics and equator, phase diagrams of a moon orbiting, and a washed solar corona.
