Posters and poster making
A 1920 how-to manual on poster design issued by the Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions in New York, made to teach church and campus workers to build recruiting displays. The plates are hand-lettered statistical posters: silhouetted crowds and skylines, block-proportion maps, grids of solid squares, and a labelled pie chart of world religions, useful for early infographic lettering and stark figure-ground layouts.
