Practical astrology : a simple method of casting horoscopes : and language of the stars easily comprehended
A popular astrology manual by C. de Saint-Germain, issued in Chicago by Laird & Lee in 1901 to teach amateur readers how to cast and read horoscopes. The plates are heavy black outline drawings on card-shaped panels: Egyptian-styled seated figures, winged sun discs, pentagrams and cups, each corner marked with planetary or zodiacal glyphs, giving designers ready symbol sets and framed figure vignettes.
