Practical cheirosophy, a synoptical study of the science of the hand
A palmistry manual by Edward Heron-Allen, published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in New York and London in 1887 for readers studying hand reading as a system of character types. The plates are stippled tonal drawings of hands seen from the back, each showing a different build of knuckle, nail and tendon, useful as isolated hand studies or silhouettes.
