The practical exemplar of architecture
A portfolio of measured architectural drawings compiled by Mervyn Macartney and issued in London in 1907 for architects and builders working in the English classical tradition. Plates give plans, sections, profiles and full-size details of cornices, brackets, carved cartouches, panelled doorways and sash windows in fine ink line, with scale bars and handwritten captions useful as ornament templates.
