Practical podiatry :
A 1918 clinical manual on foot care by Alfred Joseph, issued in New York by the First Institute of Podiatry for students and practicing chiropodists. The plates are halftone photographs of plaster casts and living feet isolated against black grounds, plus X-ray and anatomical diagrams; designers can lift high-contrast pale forms on dark fields, bunion and toe deformity silhouettes, and bone outlines.
