Leger, Louis Paul Marie, 1843-1923 · 1907 · Paris : H. Laurens · 109 pictures

A volume on Prague's art and monuments by the Slavist Louis Léger, published in Paris by H. Laurens in 1907 for the French "Villes d'art célèbres" series of illustrated guides for travellers and students of architecture. The plates are halftone photographs of churches, towers, palace courtyards and street corners, with Romanesque spires, Gothic oriels, the astronomical clock and Baroque portals shown in grey tonal detail useful for architectural silhouettes, ornament studies and city backdrops.
