Praxis exercitiorum spiritualium P.N. S. Ignatii.
A Latin manual of the Ignatian spiritual exercises by the Spanish Jesuit Sebastián Izquierdo, printed in Rome by Giovanni Francesco Buagni in 1695 for retreatants and clergy working through the meditations. The numbered copperplate emblems set small stiff figures in bare landscapes under densely hatched skies: a soul pulled between guardian angel and horned devil, angels cast down headlong, the dead rising at judgment, the Tetragrammaton in cloud.
