Prilozhenie nachertatelnoi geometrii k risovaniiu : teoriia tienei, lineinaia perspektiva, opticheskiia izobrazheniia
A Russian manual on applying descriptive geometry to drawing — the theory of shadows, linear perspective and optical images — written by the military engineer Yakov Sevastianov and printed in St Petersburg in 1830 by the press of the Main Administration of Transport for students of engineering and drawing. The engraved plates show cones, prisms, pyramids and stepped blocks with their cast shadows worked out in ruled construction lines, ray bundles converging on vanishing points, tiled floor grids and lightly hatched grey planes, useful as line-and-tone diagram stock, perspective armatures and tessellated ground patterns.
