Primitive man;

Hoernes, Moritz, 1852-1917, Loewe, James H. · 1900 · London, Dent · 37 pictures

A popular archaeology survey of prehistoric peoples by Viennese prehistorian Moritz Hoernes, translated by James H. Loewe and published by Dent in London in 1900 for general readers. The plates are halftone and line reproductions of single artefacts isolated on the page: bronze axe heads, engraved antler tools, two-handled pottery, and a chevron-blade implement, useful as silhouettes, tonal object studies, or incised-pattern sources.
