A drawing manual engraved by Sébastien Le Clerc and published by Gérard Audran in Paris in 1700, for students copying the figure plate by plate. Numbered etchings progress from heads in profile and three-quarter view to feet, legs, torsos and draped standing figures, drawn in thin outline with light hatched shadow, leaving clean cut-out anatomical parts and drapery studies.
