Prints; a brief review of their technique and history
A survey of printmaking technique and history by Emil Heinrich Richter, published in Boston and New York by Houghton Mifflin in 1914 for collectors and students of engraving. The 75 halftone plates reproduce etchings, engravings and mezzotints: park scenes with figures, gnarled trees drawn in dense open-bitten line, robed clerical portraits, and dark interior groups useful for texture and tonal reference.
