A folio of heraldic and genealogical antiquarianism compiled by Johann Octavian Salver and published at Würzburg in 1775, recording tomb slabs, coats of arms, seals and inscriptions of the German imperial nobility for genealogists and noble families. The engravings copy monuments line for line: blackletter inscription bands running around the edges of effigy slabs, round seal impressions with helms and mantling, corner shields, and the stiff carved folds of clerical and knightly robes — useful for borders, lettering, crest silhouettes and hatched relief texture.
