Proceedings attending the presentation of regimental colors to the Legislature, April 20, 1864
An official New York State report, printed by Van Benthuysen's steam printing house in Albany in 1864, recording the ceremony in which Civil War regimental colors were handed to the legislature. The plates combine wood-engraved and chromolithographed emblems: eagles over draped flags, striped shields, cannon, drums and motto ribbons reading E Pluribus Unum and Excelsior, usable as heraldic badges and banner frames.
