Projects and games in the primary grades
A teachers' manual on project work and classroom games issued by the Milwaukee Board of School Directors in 1922 for primary-grade instructors in the city's public schools. Halftone photographs record American classrooms of the period: children building shelves and playhouses, a cursive word list on a blackboard, paper-cut animals in windows, a table set for a lunchroom lesson, useful for period interiors, school furniture and handwriting samples.
