La prospettiua pratica
A practical perspective treatise by Bernardino Contino, printed in Venice by Gian Giacomo Hertz in 1684 for painters, architects and craftsmen learning to construct depth on a flat surface. The plates are numbered line engravings of construction diagrams: lettered vanishing points, radiating sight lines, foreshortened grids and scale ladders, usable as geometric line art, technical backgrounds or diagram motifs.
