Pr©Œraphaelite diaries and letters
A documentary edition of Pre-Raphaelite journals and correspondence by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Ford Madox Brown and William Michael Rossetti, published in London by Hurst and Blackett in 1900 for artists, critics and collectors. Plates reproduce working drawings: dated pen caricatures with handwritten notes, loose charcoal figure groups, and finished chalk profile portraits useful for studying unpolished line and tonal shading.
