Andrea Palladio's four-book architectural treatise, first issued 1570 and reprinted in Venice by Bartolomeo Carampello in 1616 for builders, patrons and students of the classical orders. The 365 woodcuts give elevations, sections and plans of temples, bridges, villas and piazzas, with measured dimensions, hatched masonry, capitals and scrolled brackets usable as line-art ornament or technical-drawing reference.
