An 1843 Naples folio reproducing wall paintings and mosaics excavated at Herculaneum, Pompeii and Stabiae, then held in the Museo Reale Borbonico, issued as plates for antiquarians, collectors and artists studying ancient painting. The engravings are pure outline work with no shading: draped figures, cupids and animals, architectural frames, painted panel borders and still-life groups of vessels, fruit and birds, all usable as clean line art, silhouettes or repeating ornament.
