A collection of published and unpublished art essays by Luigi Malvezzi, printed in Milan in 1842 and largely concerned with the Pinacoteca di Brera, aimed at Italian readers of art criticism. The illustrations are small wood-engraved vignettes — a winged putto in a wreath of roses, cherubs on clouds with a torch, a thatched hut among palms — usable as chapter ornaments and spot decoration.
