A Milanese festival account of 1630, written by Emanuele Tesauro and printed by the heirs of Melchior Malatesta, recording the city's public celebrations for the birth of the Spanish heir Baltasar Carlos, with plates by Cesare Bassano, Carlo Biffi and Giovanni Battista Crespi. Contents run to combed marbled papers in ochre and brown, woodcut acanthus tailpieces, emblems and firework machines.
