Ragionamento a Madama N.N. sopra gli antichi ornamenti e trastulli de'bambini
An Italian antiquarian discourse of 1781, written by Ignazio Paternò Castello, Prince of Biscari, as a letter to a lady and printed in Florence by Antonio Benucci, on ancient ornaments and children's toys and games. The engraved plates group excavated pottery on blank ground — footed cups, handled jugs, small oil lamps, animal-shaped vessels — each modelled in fine parallel hatching with a cast shadow, useful as isolated object silhouettes, line-shading reference, or specimen-grid layouts.
