Rariora; being notes of some of the printed books, manuscripts, historical documents, medals, engravings, pottery, etc., collected (1858-1900)
A three-volume catalogue of John Eliot Hodgkin's collection of early printed books, manuscripts, medals and pottery, issued in London by Sampson Low, Marston in 1902 for collectors and antiquarian dealers. Plates reproduce sixteenth-century woodcut printers' devices, historiated initials, putto-and-foliage headpieces and engraved fireworks diagrams, giving designers ready ornament, letterforms and pyrotechnic apparatus drawn in plain outline.
