Johann Elert Bode, Astronom der Königl. Preuß [...] Anleitung zur Kenntniß des Gestirnten Himmels.
A German handbook for learning the starry sky by Johann Elert Bode, astronomer to the Prussian academy, published by Christian Friedrich Himburg in 1777 for amateur observers and students. Engraved star maps trace constellation outlines over grids of coordinates and graded star dots, alongside a woodcut headpiece of putti, mermen and instruments on a wall, plus fraktur headings and floral rules useful as period title-page furniture.
