A numismatic study of Merovingian coinage from the Le Mans region (Cenomannicum), written by the collector Gustave Ponton d'Amécourt and published at Mamers in 1883 for coin scholars and collectors. Line engravings show obverse and reverse pairs enlarged: beaded rims, blundered Latin legends running round the edge, crude profile heads, and crosses on globes and steps.
