Recherches sur l'orfèvrerie en Espagne au moyen âge et à la renaissance; documents inédits tirés des archives espagnoles
A scholarly study of Spanish gold- and silversmithing from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance, compiled from unpublished archive documents by Baron Charles Davillier and printed by A. Quantin in Paris in 1879 for collectors and art historians. Line engravings record pendants, brooches, chains, reliquaries and makers' marks in fine outline, giving designers symmetrical scrollwork, gem settings and small repeatable ornament motifs.
